Injured Cummins eyeing return in Pak ODIs

Sydney: Young Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins, who flew back home in middle of the five-match one-day series with England due to a side strain, is hopeful of making a come back in the limited over series against Pakistan, which could also give him an opportunity to prepare for the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.

The youngster arrived in Sydney on Wednesday claiming he would be out for up to six weeks after suffering the injury during the first one-day match against England at Lord's last Friday.

Australia plays three one-day matches and three Twenty20 games against Pakistan in the UAE next month.

"It's not too bad. It's a pretty common injury for fast bowlers. It's one of those things. Once you've done it once it doesn't mean you're any more chance of doing it again," The Herald Sun quoted Cummins, as saying.

"The main thing on the horizon is the T20 World Cup (in Sri Lanka during September)," he said. I definitely want to be right for that and hopefully I will be right for the Pakistan series as well," he added.

"I'll probably start bowling in the next month. I'll see how it goes," he said.
