According to hospital officials, Huma breathed her last around 9.45 a.m.
Huma was suffering from sepsis (an inflammation of several tissues, including blood leading to kidney failure) and was admitted to Apollo Hospital Tuesday after developing complications mid-air while on her way to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore from Pakistan.
She was accompanied by Wasim Akram.
At Apollo Hospital, she was in the intensive care unit (ICU) since then and died Sunday without regaining consciousness.
Arrangements are being made to take her body back to Pakistan, the sources said.

Sorry for the sad news but well that is the wish of Allah. Wasim me and my family are with you and Pray to the Almighty to give rest to your dearest wife and give you and the kids strength to fight this sad moment. My many thanks to the Indian Government for letting aside all the differences between the two countries and giving a first hand help to Wasim in getting him get back his dear wife in a very healthy situation from the Appollo Hospital but the Allah wished differently. I also would like to thank the Management of Appolo Hospital for giving full extended help to Wasim. May God Rest Her in Peace and Give Strenght to Wasim and the dear kids to face this sad situatiion with Courage & Strength.
