Dhoni seeks divine blessings before World Cup
Ranchi: India's cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Saturday sought divine blessings before the World Cup starting Feb 19. Dhoni went to the Deori temple, situated on the Ranchi-Jamshedpur national highway, around 40 km from Ranchi and performed prayers. Dhoni makes it a point to visit the temple dedicated to the goddess Durga before any crucial series.
Before visiting the temple, Dhoni visited the site where the 34th National Games will start Feb 12. The cricket captain has expressed his inability to attend the opening or closing ceremony of the games due to the busy world cup schedule.
Dhoni was in his hometown to inaugurate the Twenty20 Jharkhand Premier League (JPL).
