The heavy rains had earlier delayed the toss and later, two spectators were injured when a makeshift structure collapsed following heavy rain and thunderstorm at the venue.

The only good news is that Deccan finally open their account with a single point. KKR on the other hand retain their position at number two after one point tonight.

That's all from Team MSN India tonight. Do join us tomorrow at 3:30 pm for the live photo blog of the 33rd Match between kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians at the PCA in Mohali.

Till then, it's goodbye!

10:10 pm - The umpires at Eden Gardens will inspect the ground in 5 minutes at 10:15, as per the tweet from Venky Mysore, the chief executive of KKR.

Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the second match of the day between Kolkata Knight Riders and Deccan Chargers. Kolkata Knight Riders will aim to score their third successive triumph and extend Deccan Chargers' winless streak. On paper, the Knight Riders might have won four out of their last five matches to suggest that they have become a force to reckon with. But a closer look would reveal that they are still struggling a bit as far as their star-studded batting line-up is concerned. Former IPL champions Deccan Chargers are yet to click as a team with their butter-fingered fielders being the reason for their last few losses. Having lost all their five matches, Deccan Chargers will now have a tough task in the remaining 11 to go beyond the league stage. Here's the full match preview.
