Unfortantely for Punjab, Awana's last over was not as good as his earlier three. Pathan junior smashed him for three boundaries as he took Delhi closer to the victory.

Jayawardene follows suit, three back to back boundaries for him as well. He brings up his fifty with the second one and Delhi's victory with the third.

The table toppers survive the scare and beat Punjab by 5 wickets. And, officially now, they become the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
