Lalit Modi's suspension

Charged with misappropriation of funds, the founder Chairman of Indian Premier League, Lalit Modi was suspended as Chairman and Commissioner of the IPL in April 2010, soon after the final game was played. Rajeev Shukla, BCCI vice-president, and N Srinivasan, the then board secretary served him the suspension notice via email and he was barred from participating in the affairs of the IPL and the Board.
