Arrested bookie Amit Singh is a former Rajasthan Royals player
The francise and the BCCI didn't realize Singh's status as he was identified as Amit Kumar in the FIR.
Singh played 23 games for Rajasthan between 2009-2012. During that stint, the pace bowler was twice reported for a suspect action, before being released by the franchise.
ESPNCricinfo further reports that Singh was initially picked up for questioning five days ago but was formally arrested on Thursday in connection with the spot-fixing case, along with the three Rajasthan players.
