The England strike star ,24, has racked up 252 games for United in five years and scored 105 goals and seems determined that new son Kai grows up a Mancunian and watches daddy playing at Old Trafford until he hangs up his boots.
Rooney still has some way to go to catch up with 35-year-old Giggs who has played 816 matches, reports The Sun.
"The number of games Giggsy has played is unbelievable and if I can get anywhere near that, I'd be delighted. I have always said I would love to end my career here and if I could emulate what Giggsy has done at this club it would be an amazing achievement," Rooney said.
Rooney has clearly loved his time at Old Trafford since making a controversial 30 million pound switch from boyhood heroes Everton in August 2004.
