Year: 2004
Venue: Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium
Scores: Sri Lanka 282-4, India 270-8
Result: Sri Lanka won by 12 runs
Man of the Match: Nuwan Zoysa

Man of the Match Nuwan Zoysa rocked the Indian chase early on with three quick wickets and a splendid throw to run out Virender Sehwag. The ever dependable Rahul Dravid once again stitched the Indian innings together with a 133-run stand for the fifth wicket with Yuvraj Singh. However, his 82 off 100 balls were not enough to guide India home. Vaas picked up two wickets at crucial junctures, including that of Yuvraj, as India eventually fell 12 short of the winning total.
