During the 2003 World Cup, India faced their arch-rivals in a widely anticipated game. Chasing 274 for victory, the Master Blaster faced the Rawalpindi Express in the second over of the Indian innings. Akhtar bowled the fourth ball short and slightly outside the off stump, and judging it quickly, Sachin cut it swiftly over backward point.  The ball sailed over third man as the crowd at Centurion erupted into a roar. The next two balls received a more traditional bashing as Sachin added two boundaries to his tally. Tendulkar went on to spearhead India into an unforgettable victory with a spectacular 98.
