Was draw a fair result?
Virat Kohli receives the Man-of-the-Match for his outstanding 119 and 96 in the two innings.
Each side had a good chance of winning this one. And a draw only seems fair in the end. At the same time, one can't help but feel a little let down by MSD's tactics towards the end. India had a similar chance of winning a Test match in West Indies in 2011. They needed 86 off 90 balls at one stage and just needed to be a little adventurous. But instead they shook hands called off the Test. While they didn't give up the fight until the end in this one, a bit more aggression towards the end might have earned them a win.
Do join us again on December 26th for the 2nd and final Test match of the series set to take place in Durban.
