An Xicrin child wears traditional paint and beads while attending a canoe race competition on the Tocantins River, during the Indigenous Games on the island of Porto Real in the city of Porto Nacional. Indigenous people from 38 ethnic groups are participating in the XI Indigenous Games, in which athletes compete in disciplines such as archery, spear throwing, canoeing, swimming, among other sports.
