With the retirement of Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman, there are two spots up for grabs in the Indian Test squad. Team India has three home series lined up and this would be the ideal time to nurture few batsmen who'll shape the future of Indian Test cricket. We take a look at the top ten pretenders who have the capability to fill the big boots

Tests: 3
Runs: 107
Highest: 72

Touted to be the next Rahul Dravid in the Indian cricket team, Cheteshwar Pujara has the technique and temperament for the longest format of the game. In his brief appearance at the international level, he even replaced Dravid at No. 3 in his debut match at Bangalore against Australia, making a match-winning 72 in the fourth innings' chase. His consistency in scoring runs, as seen in the domestic circuit, makes him almost a certainty to fill the vacancy created by the retired legends.
