Rags to Riches in cricket
Mohammad Rafique
One of Bangladesh's cricketing stalwart, Mohammad Rafique, spent his early days in a shanty town alongside a dirty, garbage-filled, stench-ridden river. Rafique was a pace bowler, until he met his mentor, Pakistani all-rounder Wasim Haider, who asked him to spin the ball. Rafique picked up wickets in a club game and then went on to become the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh.
