As Saeed Anwar turns 45 on September 6, we at MSN India take a look at some of his finest knocks against the Indian cricket team

Match: Pepsi Independence Cup - 6th match, May 1997

Scores: Pakistan 327/5 and India 292

Result: Pakistan won by 35 runs

Saeed Anwar paved his way into the record books by blasting a magnificent 194, the highest individual score ever in ODI cricket history. Anwar fell agonizingly short of the double ton, but his 194, studded with 22 fours and five sixes, remained a landmark score in ODI cricket till Sachin surpassed it on 2010 with cricket’s maiden ODI double century.
