Virender Sehwag has been dropped from India's squad for the final two Tests against the Aussies. Form and fitness have deserted Viru and he has ended up becoming a liability to the team over the last couple of years. In the immediate aftermath of the decision, Viru vowed to fight to get his place back in the line-up. However, considering his age and the tough competition for the spot, it seems extremely unlikely and Sehwag knows it better than anyone else.
When a player goes through such an agonizingly long lean patch, it is easy to forget what he has done for the team in the past. It seems like an eternity since we last witnessed a 'Sehwag special'.
