Bangladesh needed 141 to inflict a 3-0 whitewash on the hosts after winning the first two T20s. With just five required off the last over, they looked to be comfortably there. However, Johnston only conceded 4 off the first five deliveries and claimed a wicket on the way. With two new lower order batsmen on the pitch, the pressure was suddenly on Bangladesh. In a thrilling finish to the game, Elias took the winning run for Bangladesh on the very last ball, nearly surviving a run-out on his way to the non-strikers end.
