Seeds of trouble
The MS Dhoni versus Virender Sehwag rift saga refuses to die. When MSD 'rested' Sehwag for the England clash, the rumour mills started working again. The media was full of reports of trouble simmering between the two. MSD was under the gun again when he dropped Viru and opted for five bowlers in the crushing loss against Australia. The spotlight turned to Viru's absence and reports coming in from Sri Lanka told us that everything was not happy within the Indian team.

It all started in 2007 when MS Dhoni was handed the reins of the Indian team. Virender Sehwag's form had hit rock-bottom and despite being more experienced than MSD, the Indian captaincy was given to Dhoni.
