On a batting paradise in Rajkot, England got off to a perfect start with opener Ian Bell’s controlled 85 off 96 balls, inclusive of 9 hits to the fence and one into the stands. The 158-run opening stand was ultimately broken with sharp fielding from Rahane that caught Bell short of his crease when the batsman was 15 shy of his century.
