Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester
Result: India won by 47 runs

In this crucial Super Sixes match of the 1999 World Cup, India set a target of 228 in front of Pakistan. A strong Pak batting line-up with the likes of Anwar, Afridi, Ijaz Ahmed, Inzamam and going as deep as Akram at no. 9 looked favourite to get there. However, such is the passion invovled in these games that it is nearly impossible to pick a favourite when it comes to these two. India's frontline pacers Prasad and Srinath pierced through the Pak line-up and didn't give any batsman too much time to settle down.
