The world was taken by a surprise when an unidentified woman, dressed in red top and blue trousers, casually walked next to the Indian contingent at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics. Identified as a student from Bangalore, Madhura Nagendra, who gatecrashed into the Indian Olympic contingent's march past, publically apologized for her act. Her father claimed that Madhura was instead officially selected for a dance performance by show creator Danny Boyle.
