I have never seen Serena celebrate the way she did after winning the singles gold at London 2012. She was jumping like a kid who has just won herself an inter-school tournament and that spoke so much about what the Olympic Gold meant to the American. The way she decimated Maria Sharapova in the final of singles showed why she should never ever be written off during an active career. Serena had reasons for double joy soon as she paired with her sister Venus to win the doubles as well.
