Sushil Kumar adds silver to Indian tally

Wrestler Sushil Kumar finishes with silver after losing his gold medal bout 1-3 to Japan's Tatasuhiro Yonemitsu.

Disappointing end for Sushil Kumar. The Bronze medallist from Beijing will have to be satisfied with a silver at the London Olympics. A bit of controversy surrounding the final gold medal bout. The reports from London suggest that Sushil wasn't feeling 100 per cent fit. Apparently, he was dehydrated before the all important bout.

Sushil Kumar maybe a touch crestfallen, but India's London Dreams have not been disappointing. They have improved their medal tally from 3 at Beijing to 6 here in London.

A sensational move from the Japanese opponent and he wins three straight points. It was a powerful move from the Japanese which saw Sushil pinned to the ground.

He wins the second period as well and has clinched the gold. Silver medal for Sushil.

Japan's Tatasuhiro Yonemitsu wins the first period 1-0. The Japanese has been quite aggressive so far. Sushil needs to make a comeback in the second period.

Remember Sushil Kumar has already created history by becoming the first Indian to win two individual Olympic medals. His focus will now be on changing the colour of the medal from bronze to gold. Four years ago in Beijing he was the surprise winner, this time, with the burden of billion hopes on his brawny shoulders; Sushil Kumar has outdone his 2008 performance.
