It was a fantastic performance from Sania and Bhupathi and no wonder they are on top of the world at this stage. At the post-match ceremony, Sania says, "MY partner is easily one of the best in the world and he showed it again tonight. It is his birthday today and I don't need to think of a gift for him now."
Mahesh Bhupathi dedicates this win to his 4-month-old daughter. "It is my first Grand Slam title in a long time and it is my first since becoming a father. I am sure my 4-month-old daughter is watching this from home on television. This win is for her."

Golden chance for Indian pair to finish it off and wowwwwwww! They do it in style. What a spectacular finish. 3rd break of the second set and it is done and dusted with in less than 30 minutes. Big congratulations to the Indian pair of Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi. Fantastic moment for them. Some word for the Mexican-Polish pair of Santiago Gonzalez and Klaudia Jans-Ignacik. They fought really hard but not hard enough. It was the day of the Indian pair.

2nd Set, Game 6- Mahesh serves
Getting closer and closer and the Indian camp in the stand is quite ecstatic. Shoulders have dropped alarmingly for the Mexican-Polish pair and this means the Indians are simply loving it out in the middle. It is a dramatic turnaround. They were trailing 4-5 in the first set and from there; they have reeled off 6 games to just 3 from their opponents. Super stuff from the Indian pair.

2nd set, Game 5 - Santiago serves
Are they throwing in the towel? It certainly looks like as Santiago struggles with his first serve and his body language doesn't inspire one bit. On the other hand, his male compatriot Mahesh is doing just about everything right. another break for the Indian pair. It is a double break now and they certainly have one hand on the coveted trophy.
